Just ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday- Oklahoma Farm Report’s Ron Hays talks with the Executive Vice President of the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association, Michael Kelsey.
They start their visit talking about the concern US cattle producers have over the discovery of screwworms in southern Mexico- near the border with Guatemala. They also talk about what was on the mind of cattlemen and cattlewomen that attended the 2024 Fall Gatherings of the OCA.
Kelsey also updates us on the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Foundation putting a pause on their fundraising efforts to renovate and expand the OCA headquarters building located adjacent to the Oklahoma National Stockyards. They are waiting to see how the efforts to sell the Stockyards go before making any decisions about whether to proceed with their earlier announced plans on their building.
