Conditions were rated 33 percent good to excellent, 40 percent fair, and 27 percent poor to very poor. Last week’s conditions rated 37 percent good to excellent, 34 percent fair, and 29 percent poor to very poor.
Pasture and range conditions rated 30 percent good to excellent, 35 percent fair, and 26 percent poor to very poor. Last week’s conditions rated 20 percent good to excellent, 36 percent fair, and 44 percent poor to very poor.
Livestock conditions rated 48 percent good to excellent, 37 percent fair, and 15 percent poor to very poor. Last week’s conditions rated 59 percent good to excellent, 29 percent fair, and 12 percent poor to very poor.
Rainfall totals in Oklahoma averaged 0.49 inches. According to the March 25th US Drought Monitor Report, drought conditions were rated 77 percent abnormally dry to exceptional drought, up 43 points from the previous year. Additionally, 48 percent of the state was in the moderate drought to exceptional drought categories, up 39 points from the previous year. Statewide, temperatures averaged in the lower 60s. Topsoil moisture conditions were rated short to very short, and subsoil moisture conditions were rated short to adequate. There were 6.2 days suitable for fieldwork.

Corn planted reached 55 percent, equal to the previous year up 2 percentage points from the five-year average. Corn emerged reach 35 percent, up 1 percentage point from the previous year and 11 from the five-year average. No corn condition ratings were provided.
Sorghum planted reached 46 percent, up 5 points from the previous year, and up 3 points from the five-year average. Sorghum emerged reached 34 percent. No sorghum condition ratings were provided.
Range and pasture conditions rated 11 percent good to excellent, 24 percent fair, and 65 percent poor to very poor. Last week’s conditions rated 9 percent good to excellent, 20 percent fair, and 65 percent poor to very poor.
