For over four decades, SEALS has served as an educational resource for professionals supporting agricultural financial health. The three-day program provides a forum for information sharing and hands-on application designed for today’s demanding environment.
Leading the sessions are three recognized experts:
Scott Mickey, SEALS Director and Extension Associate at Clemson University: Brings experience in farm financial management and transition planning relevant to the Southeast region. “SEALS blends proven financial principles with nuanced understanding of individual operations,” says Mickey. “Our goal is to empower attendees with confidence to guide clients toward sustainable success.”
Dr. Dave Kohl, Professor Emeritus at Virginia Tech: A renowned speaker and author, brings a dynamic perspective on global economic trends, strategic business planning, and the crucial ‘human element’ in agricultural finance. Dr. Kohl will share pragmatic strategies for lenders and their customers to build resilience and maintain a forward-looking mindset.
Dr. Steve Isaacs, Professor at the University of Kentucky: offers deep expertise in farm management, financial analysis, and risk management, connecting economic principles directly to on-farm decisions. Dr. Isaacs will enhance participants’ problem-solving approaches for immediate application.
