Boxed beef prices moved lower again on Friday, marking declines in four of the last five trading days. Choice boxed beef closed at $365.56/cwt, down $2.10 on the day and $3.36 lower than last Friday’s close. Select rose slightly to $361.94, up $1.22, narrowing the Choice-Select spread to $3.62. A total of 95 loads were reported.  

Among the primals, ribs edged down to $483.57 (−$1.42), while chucks declined to $342.93 (−$3.15). Rounds eased to $324.14 (−$2.15), and loins dipped to $460.41 (−$1.04). Briskets slipped to $308.54, plates dropped to $247.82, and flanks firmed slightly at $171.99.
