Oklahoma Conservation Annual State Meeting coming up on March 1-3 in OKC

Greetings Conservation Directors, Employees, Partners, and Friends,

As the Oklahoma conservation community closes the book on 2025—a year defined by sharp contrasts, from record-breaking rainfall to historic highs in the cattle markets—the Oklahoma Association of Conservation Districts (OACD) is turning its focus toward a significant milestone. Entering its 88th year of operation, the organization is preparing to honor eight decades of stewardship while charting the path forward for the state’s land and resources.

This legacy of resilience and district-led innovation will be the centerpiece of the upcoming Annual State Meeting, set to take place March 1–3, 2026, at the OKANA Resort & Waterpark in Oklahoma City.

The 2026 gathering is built around the theme, Homecoming: One Land, One Legacy. Where tradition guides us, and the land brings us home. Organizers view this not just as a conference, but as a return to the roots of Oklahoma conservation—celebrating the grassroots solutions and traditional knowledge that have sustained the state’s landscape for generations.

“The progress we celebrate today, whether in regenerative agriculture, technology, or education, only exists because of a steadfast commitment to the land and to one another,” the OACD noted in a recent statement regarding the upcoming assembly.

The three-day event is designed to function as a reunion for the “conservation family,” bringing together directors, employees, and partners to exchange knowledge and strengthen critical relationships. The agenda features training sessions shaped directly by member feedback, ensuring the conversations remain relevant to current needs.

In addition to educational opportunities, the meeting will spotlight excellence across the state. Awards will be presented to outstanding youth, employees, partners, and legislators who have made significant contributions to conservation efforts.

By combining a reverence for tradition with modern training, the OACD aims to use this “Homecoming” to solidify the partnerships that will carry their mission through 2026 and beyond.
