
Boxed beef surged higher Tuesday, with the Choice cutout jumping $8.21 to $377.43, marking the largest single-day gain so far this year. Choice has now posted gains for four consecutive sessions, climbing a total of $13.63 over that stretch. Select added $1.70 to $366.01, widening the Choice/Select spread to $11.42 on movement of 102 loads.
Compared to Monday, primals were mostly higher: Rib increased $16.55 to $519.06, Chuck rose $10.56 to $330.84, Round gained $3.81 to $340.02, Loin added $10.11 to $490.40, Brisket improved $4.36 to $303.73, and Flank was up $2.05 to $184.05, while Plate was the lone decline, slipping $1.27 to $266.25.
