House Speaker Kyle Hilbert, R- Bristow, released the following statement after the conclusion last night of the 2026 Oklahoma primary election:
“The people of Oklahoma sent a resounding message on Election Day that they support the conservative Republican work being done by the House of Representatives. Every single House incumbent came in first place this week, with only one needing to continue on to a runoff. As I head into my final term, I am committed more than ever to work alongside my colleagues to pass legislation that will keep Oklahoma on its current growth trajectory, improving our reading and math scores significantly and leaving our state better than we found it. We are well on our way, and I thank the Oklahoma people for the confidence they have placed in our Republican members. There is much more work to do.”
“I want to thank House District 29 from the bottom of my heart for trusting me again to be their voice at the state capitol. It is a privilege I do not take lightly. Every conversation, every concern and every opportunity to represent our community is something I value deeply. I look forward to continuing to hear directly from my constituents and working together to move Oklahoma forward”
Hilbert won re-election by 75.54%. Members of the Oklahoma House of Representatives can only serve a maximum of 12 years of combined legislative service. Hilbert will term out in 2028.
