Prescribed Fire Cost-Share is now available!
About the Program:
- All 77 counties/84 conservation districts are eligible!
- Payment assistance is limited to $20/acre, with a max of $6,000 per landowner each fiscal year.
- Property currently under contract through another cost-share program for a prescribed burn payment will not be eligible.
- Land parcels are only eligible for payments on a 3-year burning interval. Ex: A parcel burned in 2025 is ineligible until 2028.
