There are only a few weeks until the best day of the year to be an Oklahoma pork producer! This year’s event will be extra meaningful as we celebrate 35 years serving Oklahoma’s incredible pork industry. As our board and staff put the final touches on our Oklahoma Pork Congress plans, we are asking all our members and friends to REGISTER HERE TODAY to join us on Friday, August 14, 2026, at the Sheraton Hotel in Downtown Oklahoma City. Please RSVP by July 24th to receive a special 35-year anniversary swag item at registration.
The fun will get started bright and early on August 14th with a breakfast buffet and registration both opening at 7:00 a.m. near the second floor Century Ballroom. Morning education sessions will go from 7:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., then we will enjoy our annual awards luncheon. During lunch, we will honor several outstanding Oklahoma pork producers and industry supporters who have been selected for 2026 special recognitions.
At our 2 p.m. annual business meeting, we will hold elections for five Oklahoma Pork Council board seats. Nominations will also be accepted from the floor, but below are the announced candidates for each position:
- Three-Year East District Term – Dr. Suzanne Genova
- Three-Year At-Large Term – Joe Locke
- Three-Year West District Term – Jaye Schulke-Daily
- Two-Year At-Large Term – Pati Law
- One-Year West District Term – OPEN
Finally, Pork Act Elections will be held at 3 p.m. or 15 minutes after the annual meeting adjourns. Producers who contribute to the Pork Checkoff are eligible to run for Pork Act delegates, and the accepted candidates will represent Oklahoma’s pork industry in Arlington, Texas, at the National Pork Industry Forum in March 2027.

Membership Reminder:
Renewing your annual status as an Oklahoma Pork Council member will provide additional opportunities at Pork Congress and throughout the upcoming year. A producer membership costs $100 and will run from August 2026 to August 2027. Associate and friend memberships are also available for renewal on our membership page before Pork Congress, but these non-producer memberships do not come with voting rights for our annual business meeting.
