
In the latest Crop Progress report from USDA, the U.S. Corn Crop is rated 67% Good to Excellent this week, down 1 point from last week. Soybean crop conditions are 66% good to excellent this week, up 1 point from last week.
The U.S. cotton crop is rated 45% good to excellent this week, up 1 point from a week ago. For the U.S. grain sorghum crop, the latest good-to-excellent ratings are 45%, even with last week.
Winter Wheat harvest now stands at 74%, compared to 67% one week ago and 72% at this point last year.
Pasture and Range
In the southern plains, Oklahoma pasture and range conditions are now ranked 36% good to excellent, versus 34% last week and 69% a year ago. Poor to very poor ratings are now at 30%, versus 34% a week ago and 6% a year ago.
Kansas good to excellent conditions are ranked at 57% compared to 57% last week and 57% a year ago. Poor to very poor conditions are ranked 15% this week, 14% last week, and 13% a year ago.
Texas good to excellent conditions are ranked 40% this week, 35% last week, and 58% a year ago. Poor to very poor conditions are ranked 27% this week, 29% a week ago, and 16% a year ago.
The 48-state national pasture and range conditions are now at 29% good to excellent versus 30% last week and 43% one year ago. Poor to very poor ratings nationally are at 42% this week versus 40% last week and 28% one year ago.
Corn Statistics:
Oklahoma corn silking is at 66%. Corn conditions rank as follows: 17% poor to very poor, 25% fair, and 58% good to excellent.
Kansas corn silking is at 61%. Corn conditions rank as follows: 13% poor to very poor, 23% fair, and 64% good to excellent.
Texas corn silking is at 87%. Corn conditions rank as follows: 23% poor to very poor, 29% fair, and 48% good to excellent.
Soybean statistics:
Oklahoma soybeans blooming are at 43%. Oklahoma soybean conditions rank as follows: 37% good to excellent, 34% fair, and 29% poor to very poor.
Kansas soybeans blooming are at 51%. Kansas soybean conditions rank as follows: 72% good to excellent, 21% fair, and 7% poor to very poor.
Texas soybeans blooming are at 63%. Texas soybean conditions rank as follows: 57% good to excellent, 32% fair, and 11% poor to very poor.
