In the latest Crop Progress report from USDA, the U.S. Corn Crop is rated 61% Good to Excellent this week, unchanged from last week. Soybean crop conditions are rated 62% good to excellent this week, down 1 point from last week.
The U.S. cotton crop is rated 40% good to excellent this week, down 2 points from a week ago. For the U.S. grain sorghum crop, the latest good-to-excellent ratings are 35%, down 1 point from last week.
Winter Wheat harvest now stands at 91%, compared to 86% one week ago and 89% at this point last year.
Pasture and Range
In the southern plains, Oklahoma pasture and range conditions are now ranked 20% good to excellent, versus 26% last week and 58% a year ago. Poor to very poor ratings are now at 44%, versus 35% a week ago and 13% a year ago.
Kansas good to excellent conditions are ranked at 39% compared to 44% last week and 63% a year ago. Poor to very poor conditions are ranked 27% this week, 23% last week, and 13% a year ago.
Texas good to excellent conditions are ranked 28% this week, 26% last week, and 50% a year ago. Poor to very poor conditions are ranked 38% this week, 38% a week ago, and 41% a year ago.
The 48-state national pasture and range conditions are now at 25% good to excellent versus 25% last week and 39% one year ago. Poor to very poor ratings nationally are at 47% this week versus 46% last week and 30% one year ago.
Corn Statistics:
Oklahoma corn silking is at 98%. Corn conditions rank as follows: 45% good to excellent, 34% fair, and 21% poor to very poor.
Kansas corn silking is at 90%. Corn conditions rank as follows: 47% good to excellent, 30% fair, and 23% poor to very poor.
Texas corn silking is at 96%. Corn conditions rank as follows: 40% good to excellent, 30% fair, and 30% poor to very poor.
Soybean statistics:
Oklahoma soybeans blooming are at 60%. Oklahoma soybean conditions rank as follows: 28% good to excellent, 38% fair, and 34% poor to very poor.
Kansas soybeans blooming are at 80%. Kansas soybean conditions rank as follows: 59% good to excellent, 31% fair, and 10% poor to very poor.
Texas soybeans blooming are at 88%. Texas soybean conditions rank as follows: 50% good to excellent, 35% fair, and 15% poor to very poor.
