The State Treasurer’s Office has implemented major modernization efforts to statewide payment systems, replacing aging legacy systems with a more secure, streamlined, and sustainable platform designed to better serve state agencies and the people of Oklahoma. During this process, OST’s staff have discovered isolated issues within the system which have been worked on 24/7 since discovery. The Oklahoma Tax Commission in consultation with the State Treasurer’s office has elected to temporarily pause tax refund payments until the issues are fully identified and addressed. This is expected to be a very short period and appreciate the taxpayers patience as we ensure the transition of this magnitude continues to provide security, efficiency and longevity for the systems serving the state.
