Oklahoma’s premier agricultural gathering is preparing for a change of scenery this fall as the Oklahoma Ag Expo on the River relocates to OKANA in Oklahoma City. Farm Director KC Sheperd recently sat down with Ashley Tucker Randolph with the Oklahoma Ag Expo to discuss what attendees, exhibitors, and agricultural producers can expect from the upcoming event scheduled for November 2 through November 4.
Designed to connect individuals from across the state’s agriculture sector, the event serves as a central hub for education, professional advancement, and industry fellowship.
New Venues and Event Schedule
The three-day gathering kicks off on Monday, November 2, with the annual golf tournament at a new location: Hidden Trails Country Club. Following the morning on the course, afternoon sessions turn to technical education with fumigation courses led by Oklahoma State University experts Kevin Shelton and Edmond Bonjour.
Tuesday marks the primary day of the expo, featuring the grand opening of the trade show alongside a full slate of educational presentations. Attendees will hear from:
- Dr. Carver with Oklahoma State University
- Representatives from NASA Acres providing program updates
- Dr. Kent Martin from Northwestern, who will present the latest research and updates on canola production
Throughout Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, attendees will have multiple opportunities to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs). These credits cover a wide array of topics including fumigation, research and demonstration, agricultural plant management, and crop management. The curriculum is tailored to benefit commercial applicators, private applicators, and certified crop advisers alike.
Registration Deadlines and Pricing Details
With the expo rapidly approaching, Randolph emphasized that only 10 days remain before the pre-registration window closes on October 4. Registering early secures maximum savings before rates increase:
- Member Registration: $275 prior to October 4 (includes all meals, hospitality room access, and the welcome party)
- Non-Member Registration: $400 prior to October 4
- Late Fee: Registration fees increase by $100 after the October 4 deadline
Members will need their account login credentials to access discounted pricing, and event staff are available by phone to assist anyone who needs help retrieving their information. Hotel reservations at OKANA can also be booked directly through the event website.
Trade Show and Sponsorships
Opportunities for businesses are still open, but space is moving quickly. According to Randolph, only five to seven trade show booth spaces remain available before the floor is completely sold out. Various sponsorship levels are also available for organizations looking to increase their visibility among chemical dealers, grain handlers, and producers from across the region.
