Each year, during the National FFA Convention & Expo, six student members are elected by delegates to represent the organization as national officers. Delegates elect a president, secretary and vice presidents representing the country’s central, southern, eastern and western regions.
National FFA President Trey Myers and his officer ended their year of service to the National FFA Organization at the 99th National Convention. Before arriving in Indianapolis, the officers interacted with business and industry leaders, thousands of FFA members and teachers, corporate partners, government and education officials, state FFA leaders, the general public, and more. The team led personal growth and leadership training conferences for FFA members nationwide.
One of the traditions at the national conventions of the FFA organization is for each of the National Officers to give a retiring address at the end of the year of service they have given the FFA. Trey Myers, from the Perkins-Tryon Chapter from Oklahoma, gave his retiring address on Saturday afternoon just minutes before he hung up his National Officer jacket for the last time. Courtesy of the FFA and RFD-TV, here is his retiring address:
Myers began his journey in the FFA in eighth grade, initially joining to escape class and try showing livestock. Over time, he recognized the profound impact of the organization on his life and career.
Elected on November 1, 2025, Myers is notable for being Oklahoma’s ninth national president and the 24th national officer from the state, highlighting Oklahoma’s strong representation in FFA leadership. His term has involved extensive travel across the country, where he has engaged with local chapters and reported thriving conditions within the organization.
Myers’ background reflects resilience and community support, emphasizing the importance of connection in his leadership approach. His experiences have shaped his vision for FFA, focusing on fostering relationships and enhancing the organization’s impact at the grassroots level
