Oklahoma CattleWomen’s Association Hosts Successful Second Annual Kids Cattle Camp

The Oklahoma CattleWomen’s Association successfully concluded its second annual Kids Cattle Camp on Saturday, June 6, providing a full day of hands-on agricultural education and activities for children in kindergarten through eighth grade.

Participants had the opportunity to engage in a variety of interactive workshops designed to teach important livestock and agricultural concepts. Activities included pregnancy checking cattle, a mock vaccination class, a barnyard relay, a cow-calf birth simulator, sheepdog herding demonstrations, ice cream making, branding demonstrations, ear tagging, tractor safety education, and numerous other agricultural learning experiences.

The event’s success was made possible through the leadership and dedication of Kids Cattle Camp Chair Amy McKinney, along with the many volunteers, generous sponsors, and members of the Oklahoma CattleWomen’s Association who worked to create an engaging and educational experience for young participants.

As the second annual Kids Cattle Camp comes to a close, organizers are celebrating another successful year of introducing young people to hands-on agricultural experiences. Families who were unable to attend this year’s event are encouraged to watch for information about next summer’s camp, as the Oklahoma CattleWomen’s Association continues to support educational opportunities that help connect youth with the agricultural industry.
