Wheat Foods Council Names Sheri Glazier New Executive Director

The Wheat Foods Council (WFC) is thrilled to announce the hiring of Sheri Glazier as executive director.  Glazier is a wheat farmer and registered dietitian from Loyal, Oklahoma.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Environmental Science and a master’s degree in Nutritional Science, both from Oklahoma State University.  Sheri is also the founder of Dirt Road Dietitian, a multifaceted program focused on connecting nutrition science and agriculture.  Through this work, she has established herself as a trusted voice translating real-world farming practices into credible, science-based messaging for consumers.  Her work includes the development of immersive, hands-on programs merging common sense nutrition and production agriculture education for consumers of all backgrounds.

“Sheri’s ability to speak confidently about wheat production and nutrition from personal knowledge and experience, her online presence, and her ability to communicate and connect effectively with consumers, is going to be an enormous benefit to the organization,” said Britany Hurst Marchant, WFC Chairwoman.  “After a year of evaluation and reconstruction of the organization, I am confident in Sheri’s ability to take this opportunity by the reins and guide WFC into a productive future.”

Glazier and her husband operate a fifth-generation wheat, hay, and cattle operation, which includes a direct-to-consumer protein business.  Glazier’s authentic and practical messaging is based on firsthand knowledge and experience, which resonates with industry and consumer audiences.

Her background also helped her launch GROWN, a recurring and novel platform for strategic cross-industry education and relationship building between agriculture, nutrition experts, and consumers.

WFC is the only grower-led marketing organization in the United States focused on increasing domestic demand.  “Domestic demand for wheat has remained stagnant for the past several decades, and wheat continually gets vilianized by diet culture.  Sheri’s expertise and skills will set WFC on course to change the narrative, not only around the health and nutrition of wheat foods, but also the safety of wheat production,” said Ron Suppes, a wheat farm from Kanas and longtime Wheat Foods Council board member.  “I believe it will be helpful to have a dietitian on board who can elevate wheat foods in the conversation.”

Glazier will assume the Executive Director role on August 18, 2026.
