Boxed beef started the week higher after five consecutive down days, with Choice cutout rising $3.30 to $367.77 on 50 loads. Here Comes the Cash Cattle Trade- Up Three Dollars Plus to $248 in Southern Plains
While Nebraska cash cattle trade jumped $5 this week to $245- the market reported by the Texas Cattle Feeders shows Cash Cattle trade hitting $248 in their trade area of Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Choice Boxed Beef was down 37 cents on Friday at $364.47, and now $4.86 below last Friday. Select closed at $363.42, up $0.39 on the day, narrowing the spread to $1.05.
