OKFB announces fall 2024 Activate Oklahoma rural development cohort members

Oklahoma Farm Bureau’s Oklahoma Grassroots Rural & Ag Business Accelerators program has added two innovative rural Oklahoma companies to the program’s Activate Oklahoma business accelerator program for fall 2024.

Oklahoma-based companies CASSIE and Invision Smart Windows will join five graduates of the Oklahoma Grassroots Rural & Ag Business Accelerator program’s 2024 AgCelerate agricultural innovation pre-accelerator cohort for business development, innovation development and mentorship.

CASSIE has created an automated filtration system that focuses on dust and airborne virus deduction, aiming to be the leader of air filtration systems for healthcare and manufacturing facilities.

Invision Smart Window has developed the innovative window technology adjustable glass color smart window. The window has applications in greenhouses, solar panels, vehicles and construction.

The fall 2024 Activate Oklahoma cohort will also include five recent graduates of OKFB’s AgCelerate Oklahoma agricultural innovation pre-accelerator, which includes:

  • Advanced Avigation of Fairview, a drone-based herbicide application solution to eradicate invasive plant species, including eastern red cedar trees
  • Bio Advantage Recycling Company of Shawnee, a commercial service provider that assists the cattle industry with removal and processing of waste products with no emissions
  • Blackjack Legacy of Minco, which is crafting a program offering superior beef products through fundraiser sales, corporate gifting and subscription models
  • Burgess Aerospace Innovations of Stillwater, which has developed HerdsEyeView, an AI-powered aerial drone technology for livestock monitoring
  • E2C Cattle Company of Wagoner, which has developed a beef cattle supplementation calculator for beef producers to maximize feed efficiency

 The Activate Oklahoma pipeline connects innovative rural Oklahoma businesses with numerous resources and assistance with curriculum supported by Oklahoma Small Business Development Center. The Activate Oklahoma track is designed for any rural-based business with an innovation or product that will bring economic opportunities to Oklahoma’s rural communities.

The seven businesses, all hailing from rural Oklahoma communities with a population of 50,000 people or less, will complete a vigorous bootcamp training and other programs in the coming months.
