Tailgating Tips with Beef

As the football season is underway, fans everywhere are gearing up for game day. While everyone has their own favorite team, one thing unites us all: delicious beef on the grill at tailgates!

This month, we invite you to share your cherished tailgating traditions, mouthwatering beef recipes, and essential tips to help friends and followers celebrate the season in style. Let’s get the festivities started!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound beef Brisket Flat Half, fully cooked
  • 1/2 cup unsalted beef broth
  • 8 King’s Hawaiian Original or Pretzel Slider Buns, split, divided
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 slices pepper Jack cheese, cut in quarters
  • 1/4 cup Grillo’s Pickles® Classic Dill Chips
  • 8 thinly sliced white onion rings

Cooking:

  1. Heat medium saucepan over medium heat. Add beef Brisket and broth; cook, covered 5 minutes or until beef is hot.
  2. Place Brisket slices evenly on bottoms of buns. Top each bun with 1 Tbsp. barbecue sauce, one piece of cheese, two pickle chips, and one slice of onion. Close sandwiches.

Safe Handling Tips:

  • Wash hands with soap and water before cooking and always after touching raw meat.
  • Separate raw meat from other foods.
  • Wash all cutting boards, utensils, and dishes after touching raw meat.
  • Do not reuse marinades used on raw foods.
  • Wash all produce prior to use.
  • Cook steaks and roasts until temperature reaches 145°F for medium rare, as measured by a meat thermometer, allowing to rest for three minutes.
  • Cook Ground Beef to 160°F as measured by a meat thermometer.
  • Refrigerate leftovers promptly.
