Boxed beef continued its slide on Thursday, September 18, 2025, marking the 11th straight daily decline. Choice closed at $385.81, down $2.37 from Wednesday, and has now fallen $30.20 over that stretch. Select finished at $361.31, off $5.06 from the prior day, widening the Choice/Select spread to $24.50.

Comparing Thursday to Wednesday’s trade, total loads moved slipped to 99 from 142 the day before. Among the primals, ribs eased to $630.35 (down from $632.12), chucks finished at $338.21 (down from $340.88), and rounds edged lower to $333.26 (down from $335.25). Loins were nearly steady at $467.72 versus $467.22, while briskets softened to $308.95 (down from $310.20). Plates saw the sharpest drop to $241.17, down from $254.20, and flanks slipped to $224.96 versus $226.45.
