Tulsa night of Champions Shows off Winners and Big Checks

The Tulsa Night of Champions did not disappoint, featuring great kids and great animals. This year’s numbers were great, with significant growth in both the meat goat and breeding doe Shows, along with the gilts and market steer numbers. The highlight of the fair’s livestock events is the “Night of Champions,” a celebratory evening that brings together grand drive winners from every species.

Grand Champion Market Barrow, Payten Kienholz

The Tulsa Night of Champions started with the Market Barrow Show, with Payten Kienholz of the Tonkowa FFA Named Market Barrow Champion, winning her a $10,000 Check!

Reserve Grand Alivia Brumley

Reserve Grand with a $7,500 prize went to Alivia Brumley with her Dark Cross from the Chickasha FFA Chapter.

Next up was the Market Meat Goat Grand Drive, where Maudie Peach, out of Division 3 took the Grand Champion Title with her from the Mooreland FFA Chapter, Peach got a $7,500 check.

Reserve Grand Champion with a $5,000 prize went to Sayde Allen of Canute with her Goat out of Division 6.

Next, we move to the Market Lamb Grand Drive, where Sayde Allen of Canute, FFA, won her second check of the night with her Hamp, winning her a cool $10,000.

Luke Thomas of Elk City, FFA, had the Reserve Grand Market Lamb with his Black face sheep, winning a $7500 check.

The Final Crowning was the Grand Champion Market Steer Drive. Grand Champion Market Steer went to Mulhall-Orlando’s Denver McKay with his Cross Steer, winning a $25,000 Check.

The judge remarked that all the Oklahoma Steers consistently dominate in terms of quality. He added that the sportsmanship was great throughout the whole show and that judging these shows makes him emotional because of the amazing kids.

Reserve Grand Champion went to Sapulpa FFA’s Finley Yocham with her Cross, as well as winning a $20,000 Check for her hard work.
