Boxed beef values strengthened modestly on Tuesday, with the Choice cutout climbing $1.90 to $379.22 and Select edging up $0.38 to $360.08, widening the Choice/Select spread to $19.14. Total loads moved rose to 123, up significantly from Monday’s 79.

Among the primals, the standout was the rib, which surged $12.17 higher to $641.73—its highest level since September 8 and now the 10th highest rib value on record. This sharp increase puts it just $4.17 below the 2025 peak of $645.90 set on September 5. Loin values also firmed to $489.59, gaining $5.87, while the chuck dipped slightly to $307.21. The round weakened modestly, down $3.04 to $315.40.
