As the Oklahoma FFA Association prepares to host its 100th convention next week at the BOK Center in Tulsa, officials for the state largest youth organization have committed to hosting the annual event in Tulsa through 2031.
The association worked with representatives of the Tulsa Convention & Visitors Bureau to extend the five-year partnership.
“We love Tulsa and appreciate our partnership with the Tulsa Convention & Visitors Bureau,” said Trevor Lucas, Oklahoma FFA executive secretary. “Everyone has been great to work with, which helps us ensure we can keep our convention a premier youth event and free for all FFA members.” The Oklahoma FFA has its first convention in Tulsa in 2022.
“We are so happy to be a place where the Oklahoma FFA convention can remain such an important event for FFA members,” said Kathleen Borgne, director of sales for the Tulsa Convention & Visitors Bureau. “We are excited for the future and look forward to many more successful years together in Tulsa.” FFA is an integral part of the agricultural education division in the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education system. With nearly 31,000 members and 372 chapters, the Oklahoma FFA Association is the sixth-largest state FFA association. The FFA mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
