
In the latest Crop Progress report from USDA, the U.S. Corn Crop is rated 60% Good to Excellent this week, down 1 point from last week. Soybean crop conditions are rated 61% good to excellent this week, down 1 point from last week.
The U.S. cotton crop is rated 38% good to excellent this week, down 2 points from a week ago. For the U.S. grain sorghum crop, the latest good-to-excellent ratings are 28%, down 7 points from last week.
Winter Wheat harvest now stands at 96%, compared to 91% one week ago and 93% at this point last year.
Pasture and Range
In the southern plains, Oklahoma pasture and range conditions are now ranked 17% good to excellent, versus 20% last week and 60% a year ago. Poor to very poor ratings are now at 51%, versus 44% a week ago and 11% a year ago.
Kansas good to excellent conditions are ranked at 37% compared to 39% last week and 59% a year ago. Poor to very poor conditions are ranked 30% this week, 27% last week, and 13% a year ago.
Texas good to excellent conditions are ranked 21% this week, 28% last week, and 42% a year ago. Poor to very poor conditions are ranked 46% this week, 38% a week ago, and 21% a year ago.
The 48-state national pasture and range conditions are now at 23% good to excellent versus 25% last week and 39% one year ago. Poor to very poor ratings nationally are at 48% this week versus 47% last week and 31% one year ago.
Corn Statistics:
Oklahoma corn silking is at 98%. Corn conditions rank as follows: 37% good to excellent, 41% fair, and 22% poor to very poor.
Kansas corn silking is at 94%. Corn conditions rank as follows: 42% good to excellent, 29% fair, and 29% poor to very poor.
Texas corn silking is at 99%. Corn conditions rank as follows: 36% good to excellent, 30% fair, and 34% poor to very poor.
Soybean statistics:
Oklahoma soybeans blooming are at 79%. Oklahoma soybean conditions rank as follows: 26% good to excellent, 34% fair, and 40% poor to very poor.
Kansas soybeans blooming are at 88%. Kansas soybean conditions rank as follows: 54% good to excellent, 32% fair, and 14% poor to very poor.
Texas soybeans blooming are at 93%. Texas soybean conditions rank as follows: 49% good to excellent, 34% fair, and 17% poor to very poor.
